Boss rejected giving me a raise… how do you get over it?

I feel like a fucking embarrassment.

On Thursday last week I sent my boss an email asking for a raise. I haven’t had one in two years. I thought for sure I would at least get a small raise. Like just something.

But no. He just replied and basically said “while I value your contributions, no. “. Nothing. Not a penny.

Now I feeling like absolute shit. How do I like face him after that? It’s so embarrassing. I just want to crawl in a hole.
