For those of you diagnosed at a young age, did you get genetic testing done?

Hello, I was recently diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma at 28 years old (4days ago). I’m curious is anyone who received a diagnosis, especially at a young age got genetic testing done and if so what were your results?

I have a family history of breast cancer but no one in my family had it as young as me. I met with a genetics counselor today and won’t hear the results for 2-3 weeks. The waiting is the worst!!!!

Also- anyone get prescribed some form of anxiety medication after the diagnosis?? Cause this is stressful and wanting to ask my doctor to proscribe something!
