Do you think people might be just a bit too picky at times?

There’s someone who’s been posting the same advertisement for an RP for like over a year now. It seems like a super interesting RP and I’d love to worldbuild it and RP it with him. I messaged him once about it a year ago, giving details about my RP history and just generally telling him the things I loved about his ad, but he never replied. Yesterday, I saw him advertising again, and thought I’d shoot my shot since I still loved the concept. I sent another long message detailing my RP history and other important details… still no reply. Today, I see him posting the same ad again.

I looked through his profile and posts, thinking maybe I missed a password or something. All I find is a post on his account that says he’s “picky” and only replies to messages when the “initial vibe is perfect.”

I’ve always thought of myself as a picky RPer, which is kind of a necessity when you’re a woman posting ERP ads. I can’t RP with everyone who messages me. And if someone just messages, “Heyyy” or “Wanna RP babe?” then yeah I ignore those people as well. But if someone sends a paragraph or multi-paragraph long message telling me that they’d love to do my scenario, and they’re also one of the only people who even replies to my ad, then I’d at least give them the time of day.
