Organizing some thoughts after living with this beautiful '16 Cayenne Diesel the past 6 months. Also, thanks for all the information, been a long-time luker.

1. Made the move from a 05 GX470. The creature comforts of those 11 years make a wild difference. Size does as well. V8 to V6 turbo is a delight. The cockpit/ride feels less like a boat/rig and more like a nimble, smaller station wagon. I LOVED my GX (included a photo), but the 12-13 mpg was killing me, especially at higher speeds and the weight of the rig.

2. It took a long time (4+ months) to find a good example of what I wanted at my budget. Single-owner, okay mileage (150k), good records, in the mid-teens, light issues, and a lighter interior (thanks to the blonde pups). Found myself an excellent independent as well.

3. Gas milage and range. Holy shit, low to mid 30s all the time, some even higher. Range in the 650-750 easily. Exactly what I needed and wanted. Took a hit with the tires/wheels but still 30+.

4. Wild how smooth this thing is cruising in the 90/100+. Miles fly by. And it really is a delight to drive for 7-8hours nonstop.

5. Sticking with light mods. I'm getting older/wiser/not as reckless, plus I want this to be a daily/enjoyed for many, many years ahead, and the most we're getting into is fireroads, light trails, and the usual Starbucks parking lots.
\- DPF Delete with a stage 1 tune (the torque is wild, love the lag, reminds me of my old turbo, more than enough speed for me).
\- Rotiform STLs (18) + Toyo Open Countrys (265/60)
\- No lift (yet). That Eurowise tire fitter guide was key. There is a little rub going to need to be dealt with. I'm unsure if there is a real need (desire to reduce comfort) for the lift, but time will tell.
\- The small things... Valentine mount, Eurowise knob & blacked out badges (and waiting on black diesel, which was not easy to find!)
\- Mr12volt soon. I'd love to track down quad blacked tips.

My only wish... I should've pulled the trigger earlier. Wild how much car for the money you get in these.

(05 GX470 to 16 CD) The long search and have since fallen in love.
