It’s like my body never experiences good OR bad side effects… read for more
My entire life, I feel as though my body is in a constant state that cannot be changed. This sounds weird, but let me use my experiences of being sugar free as an example. Before going sugar free, I read tons of success stories of how being sugar free changed peoples’ lives. From better sleep, to losing weight, to substantial energy boosts, I had high hopes that being sugar free would give me similar benefits. But, I’ve had many periods of my life where I would give up sugar for 6ish months, and I noticed basically no change. Nothing with my mood/energy, no weight loss, nothing. Which sucks because those benefits would motivate me. But, on the other hand, even if I’m in a point of my life where I eat sugar freely, I never notice bad effects. For example, if today I went and ate 6 cookies in a row, I wouldn’t feel bad afterwards, and it basically wouldn’t affect me in any way. Long term sugar free, and long term binges which I’ve had, do not alter my weight or mood or anything. I’ve been a steady weight all my life despite the COUNTLESS diets I’ve tried. This applies for so much more too. During the warm months I walk at least 10k steps a day and don’t notice any positive results, and when I stop I don’t notice any negative results. It’s like my body is in a constant state that cannot be changed, and it bothers me. Does anyone else relate?
