Does education in the Philippines offer lessons on World War II?

I am unsure what to use as a flair, however does education in the Philippines offer lessons on World War II, specifically that of Nazi Germany?

I would like to ask this question since I was greatly caught off guard when my boyfriend mentioned he knew nothing about World War II. I am an American citizen, born and raised, while he was born and raised in the Philippines.

I know the Philippines was not involved in the war, however this makes me cerious.
