Android/tablet in Beta - when will "mature" android-version be ready?

I have a cheap Lenovo tablet (free PM in beta-version) - sometimes or rather often, PM lags.

I really want to subscribe - do I have to buy another android-tablet or an Ipad?

(I prefer to buy into the android eco system, but I have doubts if the lagging will continue and I wasted money to a half finished PM-version)
