I prefer Manual - my partner prefers automatic but is ok with manual

Intended use: weekend use for travel for me, regular weekday use by my partner.should be reliable for long journeys to e.g. campsites in the uk

How many miles do you plan to do a year: maybe 3000-4000 miles p.a.

How often to you make long journeys: around 10x a year, sometimes to campsites so it needs to be able to handle the terrain.

ULEZ compliant and ideally a hybrid (but not a plug in)

Have been told to consider a toyota or honda as its easier to get parts for repairs as there are many dealerships in london (and to avoid ford)

Compact to medium size - large enough for a medium sized dog to be comfortable in the boot

I previously had a suzuki swift in another country (10 years ago) but it will be my first vehicle in the uk. My instructor had a mazda 3 hatchback takumi and I loved it.

I dont know much about cars so ideally it would be from a reputable dealership and with warranty so that I dont need to worry about being scammed.

I’ve been searching on auto trader (for vehicles with <100k mileage) and the only vehicles seem to be Prius 2010/2011 - presumably these are too old? Don’t want something that would breakdown.
