Why taking a rake or charging for club membership hurts your game in the long run...
If you’re taking a rake or charging membership for a home poker club, you are going to be judged like a vendor. The second players sense you profit off every hand or every seat, they question every decision: blind structure tweaks, late starts, seat priority, payouts, even who gets invited. You’ve added an invisible opponent to the table: the house’s incentives.
What are your thoughts?
Do you fully trust any game that take a rake/charges?
