Searching page never seems to work anymore

Has something changed in the search page functionality in Firefox? Nothing ever seems to be found when hitting Ctrl + F and searching. Back in the day you could put partial words and it would find what you're looking for. Now the search never seems to find anything even though it's right there on the page.
