Why does guilt always sneak in during downtime?

Why is it that the second we finally get a break from life, our brains decide to attack us? Like, I’ll be chilling on the couch, doing absolutely nothing (as one should), and suddenly.. BOOM! guilt appears like “hey bestie, shouldn’t you be doing something productive?” 😑

We spend all week stressed out, counting the hours till we can rest… and then when we do? Our minds are like “lol no.” It’s like we feel we have to earn relaxation, which is so dumb because… we’re literally humans, not machines 🤯
