Endocrinologist or Rheumatologist for Osteoporosis?

I was recently diagnosed with osteoporosis, and my PCP recommended I start treatment immediately. My job is a daily reminder of the importance of making informed healthcare decisions, and I want to make sure I consult the appropriate specialist. Is it better to see an endocrinologist or rheumatologist to learn about osteoporosis treatment options and establish a care plan? I know both are options, and I'm curious to hear from other patients which route they took and why.
