“I’ve Already Trained You”

Based on my type of learning, I am more than likely to obtain information once I actually do it. I’m sitting at the trainer’s desk with a notepad and I received the training. Upon going back to my desk to do it, I ran into a problem that was not covered in the training.

Of course, before I waste anyone’s time, I search for the training document that could help me out. That is one good thing about me. Unfortunately for this particular training, documentation was limited and none of the information was available that could help.

So I contacted the trainer and said that I had a couple of questions. The response was, “I already trained you.” I was definitely not going to beg, but I found it funny when this same trainer told the team to ask questions if they needed help after training them about a month later. This trainer either had a problem with me or just said that because it was in a team meeting that had the manager there. Who knows, but it was unprofessional and nothing happened.
