Faribault Mill throw vs bedding

I'm looking for a thicker wool blanket in the frontier or Hudson Bay styling. I was considering twin vs throw size for use on the couch or just one side of the bed. Currently I have ordered the faribault frontier throw (delay in shipping for a few weeks) but now I'm wondering if it's significantly thinner than the bedding version (such as twin size). Anyone have or seen both in person and can compare?
