Unusual hole in my mouth, worried about what it is?

Please help! Hello. I am a 26F. I got sick on 10/25 with a right sided sore throat with slight ear pain on the right side. I also had a low grade fever that never passed 99.8. I went to an urgent care and got a steroid shot and a round of antibiotics. I checked my throat almost daily just to see how it was doing. On 10/30 I noticed a hole in the back of my throat on the LEFT side. I went to my primary doctor on 10/31 and he had no clue what it could be, but told me to keep and eye on it and come back in a week and he may send me to an ENT. Since then I have checked it daily and have taken pictures on 10/30, 11/2, 11/3 and 11/4. The pictures have been added in order from the date they were taken. The hole looks relatively the same, maybe slightly larger. For medical history purposes, I have had a tonsillectomy about 14 years ago, and I have vaped for about 7 years. I have not noticed any pus, blood or pain. Has anyone seen something like this before? What could it be? Due to my history of vaping I am very concerned about the “C” word. TIA.
