Will the high thc vapes get me too high?

I’m getting my medical card pretty soon and heard that most dispensaries in my area carry vapes that are really high in thc, like 80 or 70 percent. How could I use this as a first timer? Will it get me too high or too drowsy? I know you’re probably gonna say to try flower but I don’t wanna have to complicate things with fire n stuff, and my building has a no smoking policy. Will I be good if I just take one hit, or should I look into a 1:1 ratio vape?
