Question about the New BC GLP Changes

For context, I got my N in September of 2024, and have kept a clean record with no police encounters and no tickets etc, clean slate. With these new changes proposed to take place in early 2026, would that mean I would get my full unrestricted Class 5 License automatically or how would that work? I heard that under the new rules, you do your L as usual, then get your Class 5 with some restrictions for one year, and if you keep a clean record for a year, you get the full unrestricted one. That's easy to understand but I'm really confused about this change and want to know how I would get my Class 5 and if it would be through the current rules or the upcoming rules since us current N drivers would be stick between both by my understanding.
