Flight cancellations!!

Has anyone missed their cruise because of flight cancellations or delays? We are flying into Fort Lauderdale in 8 days and little worried we might miss our cruise. Thought or experience with this, if it does happen, does Princess do anything for compensation or are we just screwed? I can see us getting to Fort Lauderdale late miss the cruise then have 10 days there before our flight out…. Don’t want that at all
