My child is the wildest one at every toddler & preschool event. Anyone else??
I love taking my sweet wild almost 3yo boy out on the town. He is kind of wild, busy, high energy “sensory seeker” but he is sooo sweet and pretty easygoing and honestly a total treat and a treasure to be around.
But when we go to these events (story time, musical time, etc) I admit I am looking around at other parents like wtf how are their children so chilled out right now ?!? Sitting in their seat, paying attention to the story, participating.
We’ve only been to a handful so I guess it will just take time and practice. My guy enjoys them once he calms down enough to actually participate, and I enjoy watching him. I just always worry he’s being disruptive bc compared to most of the other children he is wild! But he’s not crying or shouting so 🤷♀️ I usually just let it happen and keep redirecting him back to his seat or whatever.
Anyone else ? I honestly expected these events to be chaos with all the other babies and toddlers but truly my child is almost always the only one trying to spin and dance and sing around the room half the time.
