Duolingo stories, lost legendary status?

Reposting and rephrasing due to mods taking down what I just posted.

I have just completed unit 77 of Spanish last night. I’ve been trying to get through it as quickly as possible due to growing increasingly frustrated with all the changes within the app and unfortunately being very addicted to the daily streak.

I always do my lessons by working my way through the unit, correcting any errors then proceeding to legendary level (if I made any mistakes on legendary I will clear them before proceeding to the next unit). I never got my legendary badge last night due to another update, where Duolingo has changed all its reading comprehension/ story units and has now taken away my legendary status for OVER ONE HUNDRED units!!

I now feel like the units are not complete so will have to go back through these which is hindering my progression further. I’m at a loss as to why I’m even subscribing anymore, there is no benefit and now my hard work is being undone thanks to unnecessary changes.

Has this happened to anyone else? I’m not surprised so many people have given up with this app now, it’s absolutely shocking
