My kids sleeps for Daddy but not for me, anyone else?
First time parents here. LO 19months. So kind of a weird thing but my husband and I are complete opposites.
Me: loud, animated, emotional, sensitive, impatient, multitasker, extrovert, social
Husband: quiet, conservative, thoughtful, introvert, homebody, patient, gentle, calm
We have a 19 month old we are currently sleep training with chair method. We rock him for a little until drowsy and then lay him down and sit in a chair and he outs himself to sleep rest of the way.
Husband and I work opposite shifts, I work nights, he works days, so he mostly does the sleep routine with my son. Well I've noticed lately when I try to rock him on my nights home, HE FIGHTS ME SO BAD. Talking, squirming, pulling on the curtains, he says " hi! Hi!" And it takes 40m to and hour of fighting before he sleeps. When my husband has him, he stays very still, looks around the room a bit, and immediately is ready and ok to be put in crib and is out in 20 to 30m.
Anyone else? Is our son associating certain things with a certain parent? Is it because I work nights? I should have added overthinker to my list of traits 😭😭🤣🤣
