Vested RSUs not released after IPO — StubHub not responding for 2+ months — what are my options?

Investing

Hi all — hoping someone with equity comp experience can weigh in.

I worked at StubHub and left after my 1-year cliff. Per my RSU agreement, 25% of my shares vested before I left. StubHub went public, and I should now be able to sell my vested shares.

However, in Shareworks (Solium), my vested shares are still showing as unvested. I contacted Shareworks support and they confirmed:

  • My shares are vested
  • StubHub simply needs to release them / update the status
  • They cannot fix it — the issuer (StubHub) needs to

I’ve been trying for over 2 months to get StubHub to fix this — emailing HR, equity team addresses, etc. I have not received a single reply from anyone at the company other than the initial reply back in September instructing me to email the equity team.

Meanwhile, the stock price has dropped, meaning the delay is causing financial loss.

What I want to understand

  • What are my options when a public employer doesn't release vested equity?
  • Is this considered a breach of contract / compensation violation?
  • Would a lawyer or formal demand letter help here?
  • Any recommended escalation paths before going legal?

I have documentation from Shareworks validating that these shares are vested, as well as my RSU agreement and my outreach attempts.

Appreciate any advice from people who have dealt with post-employment RSU admin issues or legal remedies. Thank you.
