Question about trade in at corporate store

Finally received my 17 Pro Max that I ordered online a month ago. Based on recommendations, I’m planning to trade in my old phone at a nearby corporate store instead of using the prepaid mail-in box. For the in-store trade-in, do I need to bring the return shipping label or provide the original order number so they can apply the correct promotion? Also, will my online order status update to “complete” once the trade-in is processed at the store?
