Is there a way to disable Tyran's help?

I love the game, but I absolutely hate how they automatically give you more elixirs every time you die. Help should definitely be optional. I'm at the Shrine Guardian boss, but the fight became trivial with the amount of elixirs they give me. It's criminal that it's not even an option to turn off in the settings.
