Real Names

So I'm really new to the game but I've been scrolling through the subreddit and there's a lot of posts with real pictures of a real life player and their correct name too. But my version has a blank picture with an altered name (eg. Connor McDavid = Connor McDaniels). Is this because you all have the PRO version? I'm on the free version.
