my “afterlife” theory: The Genomic Recurrence Hypothesis.

The Genomic Recurrence Hypothesis

Every human genome is a unique biological code composed of about 3 billion DNA base pairs. Among these, roughly 3 million variable sites define individual genetic differences. The number of possible genome combinations is estimated at approximately 101,431,364, meaning the chance of two identical genomes appearing independently is effectively zero within any practical timescale.

In this theory, each unique genome gives rise to a correspondingly unique consciousness or mind. If consciousness is an emergent property of biological information, then its exact reappearance could occur only if the identical genomic configuration re-emerges. Given the astronomical number of possible combinations, the recurrence of the same genome, and therefore the same mind.would require an incomprehensibly long span of time, far beyond the lifespan of the current universe.

Thus, to “live again,” one would theoretically need to wait until the universe, through random genetic recombination, generates the identical genome once more , a process that borders on infinite recurrence.
