Majima's Story in Yakuza 0 is really very similar to Charlie Chaplin's City Lights (1931)

So this post doesn't have a great deal to do with Yakuza but I hope it's allowed...

I just watched City Lights and I was a little awestruck by the similarities between Chaplin's Tramp and Majima in Yakuza 0.

I really adore Majima's half of Yakuza 0, as it tells this very compelling love story where the way he behaves toward the blind girl Makoto is not a true reflection of his sad reality, but feels no less real and tender.

Anyway, City Lights is very similar. I feel like Yakuza 0 made me nostalgic for a movie I couldn't remember (City Lights), and then when I watched City Lights today it made me feel nostalgic for Yakuza 0 lol

Basically if you like Yakuza 0 I think you should go ahead and watch City Lights (it's good)!
