Best area for non "destination" golf courses? (US)

General Discussion

It feels like there's a lot of travel threads where people go to play once in a lifetime courses, and drop thousands of bucks for a couple rounds.

Nothing wrong with that, but I'm looking to organize a trip where I can go and play some very nice courses, but don't need to have the name recognition, and don't need to have the high price tag or name recognition.

Thanks in advance
