My almost 2 year relationship ends with one unusual way

Me and my ex we were together almost 2 years now, one of the 2 yeas i was in army, when i was in army relationship was toxic and stressfull so we end up breaking up. 5 days before we met for the last time she told she can't see me as a friend and it's hard for her too but she cant continue after all that pressure, she understands and knows that i change but now its late. We keep good relationship but not as a couple, she dont want to see me with other girl but can't continue that way so we broke up. Today we spoke one last time from chat i told her if she wants one good date for a drink and she told that this would be hard for me we end the chat very well but now im confused. Can i still fight for my relationship and give her space she said we are right people at wrong time and if one day our paths compine she will be happy and good to try again. What i can do now continue my life and wait the time we will meet again or stop everything and all that is bullshit? (We are on the same neighborhood by the way)
