best non damaging way to remove dye?

I just dyed my hair abt 2 days ago w/ a semi permanent red-brown dye—I hate it. I have bleached my hair a lot so I don’t really want to use a color remover.

I had/have chunky highlights and am wanting to go split dye (again).

I sat in the shower with hot/warm water for abt an hour and left some purple shampoo on my hair for a while and it definitely got lighter but I was wondering if there’s any tips or tricks I could do so it gets out faster.

I know red doesn’t come out typically—but I had red and black chunky highlights and red came right out for me personally
