Paramitra Presents File No 202 Bhangarh Episode 3

Good Morning Dear Friends wherever you are,

Morning had finally reached Bhangarh. The station courtyard echoed with typewriters, boots, and the smell of stale tea. The night’s unease was buried under files and formal reports.

Inspector Vikram Singh signed the travel log, adjusted his cap and looked at the waiting government SUV. Beside the jeep stood Sub-Inspector Deepika Bhanot—sharp eyes, calm voice, recently transferred from Jaipur.

“Sir, permission granted till sunset,” she said, handing him the stamped letter. “Kuldhara won’t take that long,” Vikram replied. “It’s just a routine check.” Deepika half-smiled. “Routine checks don’t come with burnt files and midnight calls, sir.” The jeep rolled out of the Bhangarh gate, dust curling behind them. Through the cracked window, desert wind carried the faint hum of a radio playing an old Rajasthani tune.

Deepika: “So, File 202… that was the man hanged without trial?” Vikram: “Yes. And the last report says his spirit wanders near a rest house that no longer exists.” Deepika: “Then what are we looking for?” Vikram: “Maybe what still remembers him.” Kilometres of sand blurred past; ruined arches began to rise on the horizon. A weather-worn signboard appeared: “Welcome to Kuldhara Entry at your own risk.”

Vikram switched off the radio. The engine quieted. Only the wind answered.

What waits for them beyond the silent gates of Kuldhara? Will the desert reveal File No. 202’s missing truth or bury another name?
