The map with the ___

Battlefield 6

Tl,dr: It has gotten harder to describe maps without their names to my friends, and I think that's a big reason for the disdain for them.

Gameplay and size and everything along those lines aside, where everyone has their preferences and opinions. I feel like most maps are missing some of that one defining setpiece or event or flair to be remembered.

For example: I now know some old maps by their name since I've checked them out after the fact, but throughout my life reminiscing on the games I played as a teenager, that's not how I referred to them with my friends. "Remember the one on that hilltop where you parachuted off a cliff to the next points?" "What was that one with that super big radar dish?" "The one with the wind turbines on the stormy little islands?" "I dunno i think there was a jungle or something..had a big lighthouse on it?" Like, name or not, great gameplay or not...you know what I mean with these.

In this one I just wouldn't really be able to do the same so far? "The new york one" maybe since that is just a new setpiece..but even then? I know it's not accurate to real life dostances and location but...no snipers in the crown of lady liberty? No dogfights over manhattan, having a downed fighter jet tumble into the ruined top deck of the empire state?

And the others? City block in Egypt? Construction site in Egypt? Farmland in Georgia? A...field in Cali? I dunno there's no real wow effect to the maps in my mind, outside of the other issues they have.
