How is it living in NYC with an e-bike and a motorcycle?
At the time I lived in New York, I had a car but eventually sold it because of how expensive it was with parking, tolls, and tickets. Despite being a car enthusiast, owning a car in nyc was a negative experience.
I live in socal now and a year ago I bought a Ride1Up Revv1 FS ebike and it dramatically changed how I commuted in OC. Even though California is car centric, I’m able to do errands, but groceries, head the beach using my ebike. I really only drive when I want to or when I have to go a long distance. The bike itself has a range of 30-60 miles and can go up to 37mph.
I bought an Aprilia rs457 an earlier this year. Although it isn’t as practical as my ebike - not going grocery shopping, doing target runs, using bike lanes or cutting through parks on it, it is convenient in heavy traffic to lane filter and split.
Out of curiosity I recently started wondering how having an ebike or motorcycle would effect personal transportation in New York
Ebike and motorcycle owners in NYC, what’s your experience?
