Ideal OW2 weapon/armor build

I just got the rift gun and am wondering what's the best build going forward. I still have to fully explore and complete Golden Ridge but want to just beef up now. I love the Plasma Pistol I started using but have no mods on it yet. Any suggestions in weapons/armor is greatly appreciated.
