This time of year is supposed to be when the beavers start preparing for winter.
The nights get colder and longer, and so we all have to work a little harder to stay warm.

Today, we curl up with our intentions and reflect on:

• Stability
• Sensuality
• Grounding

If you had to pick one to live without, what would it be?
If you had to pick one to drown in, would that be different?

I can't escape sensuality—and that's not a flex.
It just means I am warm when it's cold and soft when it’s rough, but only in a way that can be felt by other people.

I keep trying to find stability—but my feet seem only to find sand and water.
Sometimes the mud there dries and looks like something solid.

I suppose that leaves grounding.
Cool, dark earth.
All my toes digging in.
Miles above all the yesterdays I buried,
And the people I carried.
