Playing other characters

This has been getting me so annoyed lately

I have a lot of time into my main, and I play him well most of the time, however, I dont like to play him all the time. Sometimes I find other characters that I want to play, learn tech with, etc. And my problem is that when I spend time learning these other characters, I suck so much as my main. I know obviously that if I want to stay good with my main, I should just play him, but I dont like playing him nonstop, and I like to learn new things. Its just when it comes to tournaments, I just suck unless I play my main, and I wish there was a way to fix this but I haven't found any ways yet. And I dont want to say my main cuz I might get hate so :P
