Buying 7800x3d far ahead of building PC, should I get the warranty?

Hi all, I'm building my brother a pc sometime next year but decided to lock in a 7800x3d while it was dirt cheap at 280. We're going to build it before the 1yr rma window ends, but should I spend the extra $30 for the microcenter 2yr warranty for peace of mind?
