Question im not sure applies to this community but thought id at least ask

How to start

So this is kind of a random question, and im not sure if this is the right subreddit to ask this, but I've been really wanting to get into a litte bit of fitness or try working out to gain some muscle or learn to run better or something similar

I've tried multiple times but anytime I try to watch a video for instruction, or ask for advice I immediately get unmotivated and then mentally stuck

My best guess as to why this is is when I was a lot younger I was forced into exercising and diets with a very controlling parent (who i no longer speak to), yada yada So now whenever I try to actually workout or anything, I get mentally stuck and haven't been able to get past it (had the same problems in PE/Gym class as a kid, hated being told to do workouts and reps, even if it wasn't forced)

I'm not unhealthy fitness wise, and I enjoy doing walks and longboarding/skating (things I've never been forced to do, and I actually really enjoy) but I wanna try getting into doing push-ups, pull-ups, maybe try running, or learn calistenics that kinda thing More strength and stamina building

But yea Wondering if anyone has any tips I can try, or even good exercises for a beginner, or if anyone's had similar problems and any solutions

I'm sorry if this is the wrong subreddit,(if it is pls point me in the right direction) I wasn't sure where to ask, so thought id try here Thanks for any suggestions!
