How much bible counts as a weapon?

My players want to turn a holy book into paper airplanes to throw at a vampire. I argued that you need the whole thing cause the divinity is in the holy symbol on the cover. They countered that the prayers themselves are the true divinity. I dug into old Catholic dogma and got them arguing whether divinity could flow up stream, which bought me some time. I need some quick responses to handle this.
