Honda CR-V vs Lexus NX-350 vs Toyota Rav-4

Budget is under 40k. Wife current has a Hyundai Tucson and wats something quieter and with a little more pep. We are ok with some 2 maybe three years used with under 30k miles. Could get a new Honda or Toyota for this price or a slightly used Lexus. What would you go with? Open to listen to suggestions on engine choices also.
