Comstock Question

Any thoughts out there on the heel area of Comstocks. I just received a rebuilt pair that fits well throughout, except for the expansive heel area. In my limited experience with Comstocks, there has always too much space around the heel. I even took the rebuilt pair to a cobbler before the rebuild and had him sew in a piece of leather to tighten up the area. Didn’t work. I’ve never worn a pair long enough to see if the heel box area molds better around the heel, if that is the case.

Any thoughts, insights, suggestions?
