Make a copy of an email?

Hi! I’m a VA and I was tasked with cleaning up and organizing a Gmail inbox for a client. She is interested in having all emails come into her inbox for review (outside of spam and promotions) but also having a “copy” of the email labeled by sender. Ideally, she would be able to delete the email from her inbox, but still have it be sorted into a label (“folder”) she can reference it quickly. From what I’m seeing Gmail doesn’t have this functionality like other platforms. Any tips or suggestions on how to set that up?
