Don't be bothered by imposter syndrome.
Im taking the time to write this, because I've seen some posts about Imposter syndrome in diaper related reddits. If somebody has OAB they're going to use their diapers and if somebody has mixed control which is a huge portion of incontinent people, then there's nothing wrong with letting go and using the diaper, because if you didn't let go, you'd be suffering. It's the purpose of diapers to make you comfortable and more functional in life without having to chase toilets or cringe in pain while trying to simply live your life. Don't let the external sources bully you into thinking you shouldn't need them or you're lazy, because I myself have been told I was lazy for using them when I technically I could have held and could have used the bathroom. For me, my ability to hold is mixed. It's mostly total incontinence but some days its mixed and when I have to hold it it's painful and abrupt and it interrupts my life. As an example, what I've heard from people with a couple of people with paralysis of the legs (I can't speak for them but I'm going to be an amplifier of what they personally have said to me) some can twitch their legs and even feel their legs, some can occasionally walk on them, but usually it's completely inconvenient to do so and the same principle goes with incontinence. So the next time people question why you wear protection, you owe them no explanation. It prevents you from feeling that painful task of holding through OAB or a bowel spzam. You are not an imposter. Incontinence is mixed. Incontinence is nuanced, and youre doing nothing wrong by using a diaper (or catheter, or any device to help you live comfortably)💜 OAB, frequent urination etc. all of these are forms of Incontinence. Feel free, be yourself and love who you are. You belong on this subreddit.
