Suspicion GLP1 is causing bloody diarrhea for weeks now

Hi docs, I’ll try to keep this as short as possible. But looking if any of you have seen this with use of GLP1s.

I, (30 yo female, 230 lbs, obesity, sleep apnea, celiac disease) have been having bloody 💩 6-10 times daily for a month now. Yes I have seen a GI and had a colonoscopy done.

I was diagnosed with celiac 6 years ago, strictly gluten free since. Had my gallbladder removed 4 years ago and have had chronic diarrhea since then but not nearly as bad as this and never with bleeding.

September 1 I started Zepbound 2.5mg. No side effects other than poops a little harder than normal (which I didn’t mind since my poops haven’t been hard for a couple years now!) one month into Zepbound I started having this bloody stools. Enough blood for me to think I’ve started my period everytime I wipe, and to see it in the toilet.

Went to the GI and told them my grandma has ulcerative colitis, so thought this could be it. Got me scheduled for a colonoscopy. Calprotectin test was over 3000.

Colonoscopy biopsy said “mild non specific colitis probably due to NSAIDS” - I DO NOT take NSAIDs as a celiac, I know it’s bad for inflammation!

I have lost over 25 lbs in two months on Zepbound, I do not want to stop it. But at the same time I am scared it is causing this. The GI again didn’t seem concerned about the Zepbound, but I can’t shake the feeling. If you have seen this, please let me know, any guidance is appreciated 🙏
