I don’t believe in heaven but believe in the afterlife, I don’t believe in the God but I believe in a thing.
My spiritual journey has been all over the place and beliefs continue to change. I have a love for science, psychology, philosophy and the mystical.
Studying psychology definitely shifted me perspective a lot about beliefs and when I try to talk about my spirituality with others it doesn’t always land.
I believe in an afterlife but I don’t believe the identity I have will exist there. The reunited with the loved ones, I don’t really think happens either. My experience as a human being on the grand scale is so small it’s practically nothing. I think people fear death because of an attachment to ego. Or even don’t look forward to it because playing this role has been beautiful and the unknown is scary. Like I do believe the identity, the life does end at death but also there’s a part that “lives” on.
Everything I know doesn’t really support the idea of heaven but it doesn’t also discount something on the “other side” which to me is just the unseen.
I believe in “God” but when I tell people that they mix up their version of God. I don’t believe in an all powerful being but I do believe there’s something that governs the unseen world. In the same way I think something governs the physical world.
In short I really do believe in nothing but to me it’s something lol
Does this make any sense? Does anyone else get these thoughts?
