Hey everyone!

I could use some advice on how to improve my dual monitor layout for both *work* and *gaming*.

Here’s my setup:

* 1 × 4K monitor (my favorite, main display for almost everything)
* 1 × QHD monitor (mainly used for gaming)
* 2 × laptops (work + personal, but I only use **one at a time**)
* 1 × gaming PC (only used when I want to play)
* Monitor and laptop arms available

**How I currently use it:**

* For work → I use the **4K monitor + laptop screen** (the QHD stays off).
* For gaming → I use the **4K monitor as main**, and the **QHD monitor** as secondary (for Discord, music, etc.).

The problem is **comfort and practicality when switching setups**.  
Right now, my **QHD monitor is on the right**, so when I want to play, I have to turn and sit at an angle — or move the monitors, mouse pad, and everything else to face it properly.

I’d like to find a layout that makes this easier, without needing to move things around every time.

I don’t mind:

* Replacing one laptop with another (never use both at once).
* Using the **laptop directly on the desk**, without the stand or external keyboard.

What I really want is:

* The **4K monitor to stay close to the laptop** and comfortable for daily use.
* The **QHD monitor positioned** so it’s easy to use when gaming, without needing to rearrange my entire desk.

Any layout or ergonomics suggestions for a better balance between both modes would be super appreciated!
