36M and idk where to begin

So after wild life and alot of honesty with myself I can say I believe transgender women are my type. I don't mean to be disrespectful when I say that, I may be a little ignorant of the culture and my apologies in advance. I mean this in more than just a lustful way, just...after a lifetime of relationships I can always think back to that one with her. It was so real, so raw, just unexplainable. Now that I'm single and in a point true point in my life I realize my dating experience is not only limited....but I have no where to begin from a cultural standpoint. Any advice would help
