Work Advice Needed
Hi everyone,
I've been at my job for going on 18 years. I've done really well there, but I've been through a lot. At one point there were lawyers and a detective involved to investigate how I was being treated.
The people that were the cause of the investigation are no longer there. I thought I would be doing better now, but I feel like I'm in a free fall instead.
Lately, I'm getting more feedback from a new manager that there are things I need to work on. He's encouraging me to be more social. He wants me to work on my confidence.
Most specifically, today he told me that I often take things too personally and I frequently perceive things wrong... I have not told him I'm autistic and I don't know that I should.
I could really use advice and/or encouragement for what I think might be burnout? And how to handle the new manager's feedback.
It's a really good job and I don't want to leave, so best advice for coping would be most appreciated.
Thank you!
