Feelings on leaked items?

Hi everyone, first post here and was wondering what your thoughts this:

I'm fairly new to fragrance swaps/ selling and for the first time, a person who bought some things from me, told me that one of the vials leaked all over the inside of the package. I know I packed it well and I sent quite a few free additional samples, I always do. She didn't ask for a refund and I was wondering whether I should offer one? I didn't bottle it, when I bought the decant myself, 2 other of the bottles leaked all over my package, so I do feel bad but am not sure what my responsibility is here. What do you do usually do, if that happens to you?
