I keep getting told that I fumbled

So I’m 17 and was forced to go on this sixth form trip (it’s an academy) so for the whole day I was with people my age in a uni, there was like 300 students from 3 schools.

So to why I keep getting told that I fumbled, during a few of the workshops there was this girl, obvious lesbian, had a lesbian flag on her lanyard, and I thought that she was pretty, and that was it. I am way too socially anxious to talk about anything, she had a few pins and keychains that looked anime related, which I could have talked about with her, but whatever, I’m too socially anxious for that.

And I told my sister and my friends about it, AND THEY KEEP SAYING THAT I FUMBLED, HOW COULD I FUMBLE IF I DIDNT EVEN BOTHER GETTING ON THE PITCH??
